Gazette: September 2011 Edition

Welcome to the September 2011 edition of the Gazette .

This edition of The Gazette pays tribute to Loretta Lorance, a former president of MAPACA and member of the executive board, who passed away this February after an extended battle with breast cancer. An invaluable member of our organization, Loretta created and managed MAPACA's website, served as the membership coordinator, and edited The Gazette. I never had the privilege of meeting Loretta, but I did correspond with her through email, and her passion for all she did manifested itself even in these brief missives. As the authors of the tributes attest, Loretta possessed an indomitable spirit, and she will be greatly missed.

To access the September edition of the Gazette , please click on "Current Issue" link on the left sidebar. The Gazette welcomes submissions of brief (no more than 12 pages) scholarly articles, reviews of movies, exhibitions, plays, etc. and original creative projects. For further information, please peruse our "Submissions Guidelines" link. The next issue of the Gazette will appear in early January. If you have any questions or suggestions regarding the Gazette please forward them to Mary Behrman , the Gazette editor (2010-2011).
