Membership Information

for the
Mid-Atlantic Popular American Culture Association

What are the benefits of being a MAPACA member?
You can count on an annual meeting site in an interesting locale. And don't forget: If you are not reimbursed by your employer for your MAPACA annual membership fee, it probably is tax-deductible. Ask your tax advisor.

Membership benefits:
If you become a MAPACA member (and we're a terrific group, if we do say so ourselves), you receive
the Mid-Atlantic Almanack (the association's refereed journal) and, if you attend the conference, dinner. Unlike other memberships, one annual fee includes our journal. If you have experience with other scholarly organizations, you know that typically you'll be paying a membership fee and probably a journal fee. Sometimes in other organizations the banquet ticket is extra.  This is what makes Mid-Atlantic Popular American Culture Association membership is such a good deal. Many national associations' annual dues alone are more than this.

To Join:
Membership is only for people who ARE NOT attending the annual MAPACA conference. Conference registration INCLUDES membership.

You do not have to attend the conference to become a member.

Please contact Diana Vecchio, MAPACA Treasurer, about becoming a member today at: dmvecchio@widener.edu
